A different kind of international school

Rooted in Germany. Ready for the world.

International education has given families remarkable opportunities around the world. We wanted to add something of our own to that tradition: a school designed from the ground up, with intention behind every choice.

So we set out to design something deliberate - rethinking what outstanding international education can be. The result is a place where academic ambition meets a genuine sense of belonging, a community that feels less like a home away from home.

Embedded in the heart of Germany and away from the expat corridors and corporate relocations, our school is where genuine immersion actually happens. Our students do not observe German life from behind the glass of an international campus; they live it. They learn the language with purpose, understand the culture with nuance, and graduate with the skills and ambitions to contribute positively to German society and help shape its future innovation.

We focus on preparing students for two clear pathways. The first is technical and scientific studies, spanning engineering, the natural sciences, technology, and medicine. The second is the business route, for those drawn to economics, management, and finance. By concentrating on these fields, we equip our students for precisely the areas where Germany's demand for talent is greatest.

Germany remains Europe's largest economy, and it needs talent to keep growing. Skilled worker shortages across engineering, technology, healthcare, finance, and the trades mean that well-qualified, bilingual, internationally-minded graduates are in extraordinary demand.

We didn’t build another international school. We built something we believe in.

Why families choos us

01 – A-Levels: focus over breadth

We deliberately chose International A-Levels over the International Baccalaureate. This is not a compromise, but a conviction. The IB requires students to maintain six subjects simultaneously, regardless of their interests or intended career direction. A-Levels allow students to choose three to four subjects aligned with where they are already heading.

A student with her sights on medicine studies Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with the depth and focus those subjects demand. A future engineer does not spend his final school years writing extended essays in subjects peripheral to his career goals. We believe that purposeful specialisation, chosen by an informed and supported student, produces better outcomes than compulsory breadth.

02 – Modular International A-Levels: assessment that works for students

Our International A-Level programme is modular and this is a deliberate advantage, not an accident of design. Rather than placing the entire weight of a two-year course on a single set of final examinations, modular assessment distributes that weight evenly across the course.

The result is a qualification that is internationally recognised, academically rigorous, and structured to give every student the best possible chance of performing to their full potential.

03 – Preparing students for a career in Germany

Our well-qualified, German-speaking, internationally educated graduates do not only leave our school with a competitive advantage; they also gain the skills, competencies and values needed to succeed in an ever-changing world of technological advancement and geopolitical uncertainty. In short, they are equipped to deal with whatever challenges come their way.

While we fully support students who choose to apply to leading universities in the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States or beyond, we are equally focused on preparing students to secure a place at a German university. We integrate German language learning, cultural fluency and economic literacy into student life from the start. Our students leave knowing not just what they want to do, but how to do it here.

04 – Small classes, exceptional teachers

With deliberately small class sizes, our faculty know every student by name, by learning style, and by ambition. Many teachers hold postgraduate degrees in their disciplines, and all are committed to understanding how each individual learns best. This allows us to shape teaching around the strengths, goals and pace of every student, so that academic development is never one-size-fits-all but tailored to the person. Teaching here is a profession, not a transaction.

05 – A boarding experience that builds character

Our Boarding House is more than accommodation; it is a community. Here, students grow academically, socially and personally, developing the independence, resilience and confidence to live well on their own. They build deep friendships that span continents and are guided by tutors who are invested in each student's whole development, helping them leave not just well-qualified, but genuinely prepared for independent life.

06 – A truly personalised education

At the heart of our approach is a commitment to knowing and supporting every student as an individual. Each student benefits from three scheduled progress and next steps meetings with the Principal throughout their A-Level journey, ensuring that their development is regularly reviewed at the highest level. Additional meetings are scheduled as needed, informed by feedback from both formative and summative assessments. Where a student is not yet achieving their full potential, an individual development plan is put in place to provide targeted support and a clear roadmap for improvement. Alongside this, every student receives personalised career pathway sessions, offering specific, tailored guidance to help them navigate their future with confidence. To keep families informed and engaged, a summary of the support discussed at each meeting is shared directly with parents, ensuring that school and home work together in the best interest of the student.

07 – University guidance that goes further

Parallel to the start of their A-Level journey, students are guided through the sometimes-challenging university application landscape. We have developed a rigorous careers programme that not only helps students orientate themselves but also delivers sessions on key post-secondary education skills, such as research skills, media literacy, and creative and critical thinking, whilst simultaneously teaching students how to deal with setbacks. Students not only receive one-to-one sessions to discuss exam results and next steps, they are also individually guided and supported throughout the entire application process. We support our students in building their academic and personal profile.

08 – Enrichment programme

A rigorous academic and careers programme is only part of the picture. Our students are challenged, inspired, and nurtured through rich specifically chosen enrichment experiences:

  • Model United Nations
  • Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award
  • Competitive Sport opportunities
  • Weekend Cultural Excursions
  • Community activities
  • Educational and cultural trips and events
